Directions

To Table Mountain Observatory

** Please note that Table Mountain Observatory is a private government facility. Thus you can not visit without prior authorization. If you are interested, contact Bryan Penprase.

Get to the Angeles Crest Highway (2) and follow it towards Wrightwood.

If coming from the East, pass Wrightwood and make a right on road leading to Ski Sunrise (just past the Ranger Station). Follow this road to the Ski Sunrise parking lot. At the far end of the lot is a road marked "Do Not Enter". Follow this road to the gates of the observatory. If gate is locked (most likely) call the guards from the phone next to the gate.

If coming from the West you will make a left onto the same road and it will be several miles before Wrightwood and just before the Ranger Station. Once you turn on the road follow the same directions as above.

If leaving from Claremont the route is 10 East to 15 North to 138 West to 2 West and follow the directions above as if you are coming from the east.
